FONDERIE di SEREGNO was founded in 1922 in Seregno (Milan, Italy), by Francesco Picchiottini (the present owner’s grandfather) supplying quality cast iron and aluminum to the automotive, mechanical and hydraulic industry.

After a short break during World War II a workshop was set up and the company name changed to OFFICINE & FONDERIE di SEREGNO that, under the brand name “Picchiottini”, started manufacturing
sheet-metalworking machines, such as shears, press brakes, beading and special machines, as well as lifts and hoists production under “INCE” (National Lift Manufacturing Industry).

In the ‘70s our foundry started manufacturing ductile cast iron, including sheaves and in 1975 after several years’ experience in pulley production we expanded into the field of lifting hook-blocks, overhaul balls and swivels. Due to the high quality of these products we were able to deliver anything from an individual component for the final user to a mass-production for the major Italian mobile cranes manufacturing companies using the “OFS” trademark.

At the end of 1997, OFFICINE & FONDERIE di SEREGNO moved to more functional premises and the following year (in 1998), only three months after the quality manual was written we attained ISO 9001 certification through the Italian Naval Register (Ri.Na.). The first company in Italy to be certified in such a short time! Quality has always been in our DNA!!

Early in 2001 the new company O.F.S S.R.L. was established specializing in the design and construction of lifting components.
A few years later, apart from blocks and sheaves the production diversified to include special parts such as special heads for cranes, adjustable and fixed rope lead sheaves for mobile cranes, trolleys for heavy loads and also special parts for the automotive industry.

In 2009 a new department for the “refitting” of used blocks opened at our factory.

Our continuous growth urged us to improve our environmental protection policy acquiring ISO 14001 Certification in 2011.

During 2016 our hook block number: 46.000 has been delivered.

Currently O.F.S S.R.L. is well known by all the domestic and foreign manufacturers of mobile cranes and lifting machines, the majority of the Italian ones are our loyal and satisfied long-term customers that consider us as a reliable and professional partner designing and manufacturing high quality products at competitive prices with a service second to none.

The company is now focused on the “mission” to further improve our competitiveness and looking for a further penetration of the international markets.
